Landlord issue in Houston

Monday, Jun 9, 2014 by Brian Laviage

“I gave 500 to lease a home, first it was for sale, the owner decided not to sale it just lease it out. On the day of signing the lease, she stated she will be taking down the sign as well as the supra key off the door. 3 day pass by after i move in she stated the supra and sign and supra key has to stay in the yard. what is my rights, their will people in and out of my house constant.”

If you used a TREC Promulgated lease form, there is a section that discusses this very issue. In most cases your landlord must pay you a fee to keep a supra box on your leased home. If he has not done so, you may be able to file an injunction to have the supra removed from the property.

Best of luck,

Brian
